Just download the file to your hard drive, then double-click on the file (kocrdemo.exe) to install the free Kanji OCR demo to your computer. After installation, you will be able to view a readme.txt file that contains information on using the software. The requirements for the demo are the same as listed on the product info page. Install on English Windows 95/NT with KanjiKit installed OR on native Japanese Windows 95/NT. If you are satisfied with the demo, please purchase the full retail version to receive the product on CD-ROM with bilingual Users Guide. If you encounter the error message "cannot load okrecog.dll" while opening Kanji OCR, you may be missing the system file "Msvcrt.dll" that is necessary to load the kanji recognition dictionary. If this is the case, click here to download a program (150 KB) that will copy the required file to your c:\windows\system directory.
